Sensor Support

How do I set it up?

If you are installing several HALO sensors DON"T install them all together and then turn on the power - you won't cause any damage but you will find it difficult to identify each unit. Instead, install 1 - turn on the power and then give it a name you recognise and allocate it to a room. Repeat for the other units - this way you will find it easier to set up your individual rooms. When you have added the HALO to your App, open it and you will see it reports the distance and illumination. You can use these figures to decide what levels of sensitivity you require.

During setup set the SENSITIVITY to high but when complete you may find you need to reduce this as you might experience false triggering as the sensors are very, very sensitive! To check what is happening, look at the trigger logs on the APP - you can find them by clicking the notepad icon on the blue status bar

TIP- set the delay time to 10 secs during setup - this means you can fine tune things without lots of hanging about!

Where should I locate the Sensor?

Place it on the ceiling in an area of high traffic and with a clear line of sight. So, for example, in a kitchen place the sensor near the entry point - this way it will trigger quickly and reliably and give you light when you need it.

What area can it cover?

For best performance assume a working diameter of 6m. If you have a larger room then for reliable performance we suggest using multiple sensors - you can effectively link them together in a software by introducing commands such as "if Sensor1 or Sensor2 are active then turn on lights".

Does it have zones?

Yes - mWave allows you to select 360 degree coverage or just left or right on the left and right hand sides. PWave does not have Zones.
