The new wave of Human presence Sensors use millimeter microwaves to accurately detect the presence of a person - they are not actuated by animals and continue to recognise presense even if the person is stationary - unlike traditional PIR type detectors .

Once installed they are used to trigger other actions - for example as soon as someone enters the room then lamps can switch on - when the room is empty then they turn off. All operating parameters can be configured - for example if you want the lights to stay on for 10 minutes after leaving the room - no problem, or if you only wan the detection to operate between certain hours, this is possible.
